The blessing and struggle of being an energy worker.
When I tell everyone I’m an energy worker, it’s generally followed by confusion about what that exactly means. What do I do? And are you unsure if you are one?
What is energy? Yes, it’s electricity, for which you get a bill very regularly. It’s also produced through solar farms. Or transformed by windmills. It’s also something you can trade in. But these are the physical uses and manifestations of energy.
But what is it at a quantum, cellular, spiritual level?
I’m by no means an expert in the scientific definition of energy but I understand it the way one has a deep knowing of the meaning of a thing without knowing how. It’s an inner knowing of the transformation and transmutation of the oldest, indestructible force of nature. The force of all creation, that can never be created or destroyed, it only changes form.
Energy is the base of everything. It is the force of creation.
And it flows and manifests itself differently on every plane. You can observe this energy not only in this 3D plane that we live in, but also in the ethereal planes,
Let’s start from the beginning. Since I was a child, I was sensitive to energies. The moods of all the people around me, sensitive to subtle shifts in everyone’s moods, their body language, their thoughts, their feelings that weren’t expressed.
I didn’t even know what they were called or what they meant but it was years later that I realised I was blessed with the Clair gifts.
If you feel that you have an inner knowing about things, when someone asks you how you know and you reply - “I just know!” - Chances are you’re claircognizant.
Getting visions is clairvoyance, hearing words, messages is clairaudience and the one that was always the strongest with me, and you if you already call yourself an empath - Clairsentience.
Feeling what someone feels and being able to get messages about them. Being psychically connected to their energy and not only feel what they feel as an empath would, but actually be able to sense what they want most, what they need, their energy blocks and what are the possible outcomes on their path.
If you identify with one or all of these, you’re an energy worker. You are reading and interpreting energy.
Sometimes the next step of being an energy worker will mean being sensitive physically, emotionally and spiritually to all energy frequencies, whether from planetary or your physical surroundings to the emotional frequencies the people around you emit.
It’s an incredible gift to be able to do this. To know that the same energy that is in a little ant, that created the mountains and rivers and seas is in all of us.
But it’s even more challenging in all our humanness to feel this avalanche of emotional frequencies and make sense of them, as we always try to. Its emotions on steroids, drowning in a tsunami of feelings, your heart bursting open and being ripped apart at the same time, as your soul understands this depth while your conscious mind struggles to make sense of it.
This will generally manifest as physical illness, dizziness, ears ringing, wanting to isolate, nausea, anxiety, depression, and an out of body experience among a wide range of symptoms.
I’m unable to watch movies in theatres as an example. Or visit crowded shopping centres at Xmas time.
Sometimes these phases are so painful, that we energy workers fall into the trap of making the emotions we absorb our reality.
Not realising we have the ability to separate it from what is ours. It’s also a sort of energetic promotion when it gets stronger. It means you’re now able to transmute more energy.
It’s important to remember - it’s an upgrade, just like your phone and laptop have with the latest software - light codes are entering your physical body, you’re integrating more ancient wisdom because you’re ready to take the next step in your journey.
Being in nature helps at such times. Feeling the sea breeze, looking out on the water, or lying on the grass, looking at trees or the blue sky gently brings us back to awareness.
We have a purpose. This is the reason we’re blessed with this gift.
The third step in this journey revealed my soul purpose to me.
After accepting reading energy and understanding how to open myself up to its frequencies, I learnt channeling it.
Understanding energy, respecting it, welcoming its fierceness and softness, learning how to manage it physically and mentally, and then to gradually wield and channel its power, to spread healing through it is my soul mission.
It’s a monumental truth for me. To understand the elemental power of what flows to and through me and the reason for it.
You will find your monumental truth. It will be liberating and familiar, like a long forgotten dream. It will also be overwhelmingly scary.
Use the solid, firm foundations of earth to ground this energy.
The power of fire to purify your intention.
The flow of water to remind you to be open to change and malleable as you learn to wield it.
The understand its force can be as gentle as a soft breath or as destructive as gale winds.
How can you wield this energy?
By firstly understanding we’re mere channels, we don’t hold this power.
We channel it.
We respect it.
We understand that sometimes the destructive gale winds are necessary to bring about change that is being avoided, or to move a particularly stubborn block.
That the gentle flow of water is sometimes soothing for a traumatic experience.
That the fire will burn away what needs to be discarded.
That the earth provides us with anchoring when the storms make the waters lash out and the winds blow strong.
The balance is the defining factor.
It is doing a balance yoga pose like Ardha Chandrasana or the Half Moon, each limb representing the elements, making sure the energy is flowing through uniformly.
That is the challenge and the ultimate joy.
